Rope Access

Industrial Rope Access is derived from caving and mountain climbing rope techniques, where technicians use the single rope skills required to adventure to far flung corners of the planet combined with a second back up system, which has a large factor of safety in the strength of the equipment, thus minimising the risks to practically zero.

Rope access can be used in many different situations to access the otherwise inaccessible. With good planning and skilful rope work and with other work at height equipment there is very little that cannot be reached, often relieving the need for expensive scaffolding.

Working to International Rope Access Trade Association guidelines (IRATA-ICOP) as an expert working at height safety supervisor (IRATA Level 3), founder Mike Roberts works in parallel with some best technicians in this field.

As a freelance ‘rigging for rescue’ specialist with a broad range of experience, Mike will manage a team with the utmost safety and efficiency to oversee a project from start to finish.

Based in South Devon, in the south west of England, Mike has been called upon for his Rope Access expertise on several local projects in the Westcountry, but also others around the UK and in international locations, including diverse environments from cliffs to super-caves, forests, and desert canyons, to offshore structures such as a lighthouse, and an 18-deck high cruise ship!
